Update

On Monday the 11th of October we did a performance of How Happy We Will Be at the Albany in Deptford it was part of their Connected Culture event. The performance was good. I enjoyed it, my best bit was the ‘When I Was a Tiny Person’ memory sequence and the ‘Tea for Two’ dance. I enjoyed the event, it was interesting. I liked the debate, it was good.

On Tuesday 2nd of November we went to Derry, in Northern Ireland for two days we led two workshops with Stage Beyond Theatre Company it was good. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed working with Michael, Geraldine and Paul. I enjoyed meeting Dee and Patsy and Frank, they are nice people. I enjoyed the flights.

I went to Disability Arts Consortium Meeting with Georgie on the 14th October and it was interesting and it was useful to listen to other people, to hear what they have to say about their opinions about Arts, Olympics, organisations and Theatres and Grants and Arts Councils.

I have been working with Antoine and DJ to make a Performance. We were doing lots of Rehearsals. We Rehearsed at Oval and Brixton and some other places.

In Rehearsals we had to collect some ideas and different ways of travelling, and looking at different pictures to make shapes with our body, and doing name solo’s with different parts of our body. And then we made duet’s by bridging different parts of our body to another persons body. We made an angles solo by looking at different pictures.

And we did lot of stuff about eye contact.

We performed at Greenside School and that was good and also other people in Corali performed at Heart n’ Soul Festival in Victoria Park on the 19th of July. I Performed at Greenside School on the 23rd of July that was good. I enjoyed it. I love working with Antoine he was brillant. I’m glad he performed with us at Greenside.

Back to Back Theatre

For any of you that didn't manage to come and see Food Court at the Barbican last month, by the brilliant Australian theatre company, Back to Back Theatre, try and catch a show another time (Georgie has sent a link saying something is happening at the Arnolfini Inbetween time festival 3 - 8 September 2010 and 1 December 2010). Check out their website in the meantime, it's really exciting work - http://backtobacktheatre.com/

Scapes: Corali at Sadler's Wells.

In March I was rehearsing for 5 days at Sadler’s Wells with Corali and working with people from New Adventures and we were preparing a performance for the Connect Festival on Friday 12th of March. The performance was called Scapes and it was work based on the Visual Voices training Programme. The performance was a collaboration between Corali and New Adventures, we were performing 2 new short pieces from Scapes and Visual Voices Scores lead by 4 dancers from Corali. I enjoyed doing the performance it was good, my best bit was my Score and working with Belinda Chapman and Joe Walkling.

And after the Performance we did a workshop with other people, I was in Sarah Archdeacon’s group it was good. I led the warm up. We were looking at descriptive words and we were improvising and travelling as well, it was good.
